DESCRIPTION
The red wines of Château Brane Cantenac grow on stony land in the south of Margaux, on a gravelly soil typical of the Médoc, which allows for good drainage. The Grand Cru Classé of Château Brane Cantenac is a radiant, full-bodied, velvety wine for cellaring.
PRODUCTION
Made from a selection of the best grapes, strictly hand-picked parcel by parcel and by grape variety.
The 2018 Château Brane Cantenac, Margaux, Grand Cru Classé matures in oak barrels.
The vintage contains 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot
TASTING NOTES
In the glass, the wine is deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose reveals aromas of dried rose petals, ripe cherries, spices and star anise.
On the palate, the attack is rich, broad, with masterfully structured tannins. Long finish with a beautifully balanced acidity that lingers wonderfully.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve at 16-18 °C with game dishes, braised red meat and baked duck breast.
