2018 Château Cos d'Estournel, Saint-Éstèphe 2nd Grand Cru Classé was aged in oak barrels.
The vintage contains 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot
TASTING NOTES
The 2018 Château Cos d'Estournel has a deep purple-black color and pours seductively from the glass. With slowly unfolding notes of crème de cassis, wild blueberries, chocolate-covered cherries with hints of violets and licorice, wild roses, and loose tobacco. The full-bodied palate is built on ripe tannins and seamless freshness to support the present fruit.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve at 16-18 °C with game dishes, beef goulash, red meat, and strong cheeses.
