The red wine from Haut Brion is a Pessac Leognan, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the 2018 vintage. It is certainly the special terroir of Château Haut Brion in Pessac-Léognan that ensures consistent excellence. This Château Haut Brion 2018 is elegant, powerful and refined.

Taste:
The 2018 Château Haut Brion has an intense garnet red color. The nose slowly unfolds and increasingly releases exotic spices, cardamom, cassis and star anise over an opulent core of red roses, warm cassis and black raspberries with nuances of minerals, truffles, iron ore and smoked meat. Fine-grained tannins and beautiful freshness deliver length and depth on the finish.

Production:
Château Haut Brion 2018 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the terroir. For winemaking, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place over 21-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in the barrel and matures for 14-16 months in French oak barrels before bottling.

Serving suggestion:
Ideal with grilled meat, game, lamb, poultry and spicy cheese.
