Taste:
The 2018 Château Labégorce has a deep garnet-red color and is initially a little cedar-influenced, then making way for a core of plum jam, Black Forest gateau, and Indian spices with a hint of lavender. Full-bodied, concentrated, and bursting with stewed black fruits, it has an approachable palate of firm, rounded tannins and enough freshness for a long finish.
Production:
Château Labégorce 2018 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the terroir. For winemaking, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted twice. Fermentation takes place over 25-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in the barrel and matures for 12-15 months in 40% new French oak before bottling.
