With this 2019 vintage, the wine experts have preserved the typicality of Château Giscours, its power, its fleshiness, while working on two concepts:
aromatic expression and the finesse of the tannins. The Merlots show different profiles depending on the terroir and harvest date; some were harvested with a "fresh, juicy fruit" profile and offer brilliant freshness. For the Cabernet, the harvest date was delayed to await the fullest ripeness of the skins. The goal was to give the Cabernets this desired three-dimensionality: structure, freshness, and density.

Taste:
The Château Giscours 2019 has a deep garnet-red color with violet reflections. The nose is fruity-sweet and complex with aromas of blackberry, minerals and licorice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a beautiful blackcurrant character and fine tannins. A wine that, with its high tension and successful harmony, undoubtedly belongs to the premier league of oenologically supervised wineries.

Production:
Château Giscours 2019 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the terroir. For vinification, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place over 25-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and ages for 17 months in new French oak before bottling.
