Powerful nose with notes of varnished wood, fresh honey, brioche and pear skin, immediately recognizable as Roussanne. On the palate, it’s broad and structured with honeycomb and vanilla custard flavors, pineapple and a light tropical note like a salted mango. A little sweet oak comes through on the long finish, with a mandarin pith note keeping the classic honey and pear flavors fresh. The wine has only been in bottle for a few months, but it's already drinking well. Drink in the next 3 or 4 years for a lush, fruit-forward experience, or cellar for 8-15 years for a flavor profile of caramel, wet stone, and hazelnut.
