DESCRIPTION
Château Carbonnieux red wine has been a great classic from the Bordeaux region for centuries. With its high standard of quality, it is the smooth result of an excellent blend of grape varieties from this region.
DEVELOPMENT
Made from a selection of the best grapes, strictly hand-picked and under careful quality control.
The 2020 Château Carbonnieux, Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé was aged in oak barrels.
The vintage contains 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot.
TASTING NOTES
The wine has a deep dark ruby color. The nose is very harmonious and shows expressive notes of stewed red fruits, blackcurrants, white pepper and toasted wood. On the palate, the 2020 red wine is soft and spicy with finesse. The structure is elegant. The mid-palate is full and persistent.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve at 16-18 °C with grilled, roasted or braised meat, swordfish, tuna, cheese, chocolate desserts.
