Production
Grapes from the historic growing area of Orvieto, the Orvieto Classico DOC zone in Umbria – clay and limestone soils, rich in fossil shell deposits, typical of the area around Castello della Sala near the Tuscan border.

Procanico and Grechetto are harvested separately, destemmed and gently pressed. The must is chilled to 10 °C for natural clarification, fermentation takes place under temperature control in stainless steel at a maximum of 18 °C, and maturation until bottling also takes place in stainless steel at 10 °C.

Pairs with
A versatile, uncomplicated partner for food: with light starters, fish and seafood, poultry, salads with vinaigrette, fresh cheese and dishes with fresh herbs and green vegetables. Best served well chilled at 8–10 °C.

In context
Santa Cristina is the entry-level brand of the Antinori family – one of Italy's oldest winemaking families, whose winemaking tradition dates back to the year 1385. The Campogrande comes from the historic Orvieto growing area in Umbria, near the Antinori estate of Castello della Sala. As an Orvieto Classico DOC without the Superiore designation, this wine is an accessible, everyday introduction to the Antinori universe – considerably more affordable than the house's premium lines, but with the same signature in the cellar work.
