Producer: Maison Les Alexandrins is a boutique négociant project founded by Rhône legends Nicolas Jaboulet and Alexandre Caso (the Perrin family later joined). It has its roots in the northern Rhône and is known for sourcing high-quality grapes from characteristic terroirs.
Cuvée “Craies Blanches”: Named after the chalky (“craie blanche”) clay-limestone soils along the Rhône River in the Drôme region, particularly in Beaumont-Monteux and Pont-de-l’Isère, below the Vercors cliffs (the “Trois Becs”).
Pairings: Ideal as an aperitif; pairs well with simple, elegant dishes – white meat, poultry, grilled fish, seafood platters, and light cheese boards
Taste Profile
Appearance: Pale yellow with golden reflections and high clarity/brilliance
Aromas: Intense and alluringly exotic – combines the tropical-exotic aromas of Viognier with the white fruit aromas of Roussanne and Marsanne
Palate: Elegant with strong tension and pronounced minerality reminiscent of a chalky terroir; fresh acidity and crisp fruit character with a lively, mineral finish.
