The newest and also oldest bottling in our core range. This exquisite whisky clearly proves that even the longest maturation period cannot tame Ardbeg's smoky power. Complex and ultimately majestic aromas, such as have never before come from the Ardbeg Distillery.

Filled during the distillery's dark period, these rare casks created a highly complex and captivating Ardbeg.

Majestic notes of smoked cream and distant bonfire are masterfully intertwined with pine resin and fragrant candle wax. On the palate, a sharp peppery note at first, which transforms into the sweetness of a creamy lemon sorbet. A hint of carbolic soap and tar leads into a long finish, interwoven with some anise, cream, and butter toffee.

Non chill-filtered and bottled at 46% ABV

The casks used for the maturation of Ardbeg 25 Years Old – previously used for Bourbon – were filled in the 1990s, a time when Ardbeg produced only very small quantities of whisky annually. This makes Ardbeg 25 Years Old a particularly valuable rarity. The absence of chill-filtration adds further depth and allows the whisky to retain its full aroma.
