Color: dark amber.
Nose: fresh blackberries with acetone and diesel, as well as apricot and cassis.
Palate: Black Forest sour cherry blends with date syrup and rock candy, along with fermented tobacco and burnt wood, grapefruit, and chestnut mousse.
Finish: long, fruity and wonderfully creamy with wood and cassis.

Armagnac Domaine de Baraillon 1999 is an exceptional example of France's oldest documented spirit. This single-distilled brandy revives the fragile Folle Blanche grape, which was almost completely destroyed by phylloxera in the 19th century. The Baraillon house cultivated and distilled it. The small estate is located off the road, surrounded by vineyards in Bas-Armagnac, the best growing region in the area. The Claverie family has been active here since 1840 – and has earned an excellent reputation among brandy and rum lovers worldwide with their artisanal bottlings.

The house boasts one of the most impressive Armagnac collections in the region. Father Paul and daughter Laurence watch over bottlings that were distilled and aged on their estate in the late 19th century.
At 22 years old, Armagnac Domaine de Baraillon 1999 was distilled just before the turn of the millennium. After over two decades in French sessile oak barrels, this smooth rum alternative unfolds a multifaceted panorama of lush fruit such as cassis, hints of acetone, complex woody notes, and dark sweetness.
