- Nose: Dark and mature in feel, with subtle bitter chocolate, plum butter and cherries like those in a Black Forest gateau; with time, the fruit comes more strongly to the fore.
- Palate: Soft and creamy, dry, with dark chocolate; the alcohol only makes itself felt late, then the palate turns fruitier with plum, ripe blackberry and pear.
- Finish: Dark, velvety and fruity, with plum and a hint of bitter chocolate.
