Nose: Melted chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, warm oranges and cinnamon sticks with hints of tropical juices and cassis. Blackcurrant and raspberry leaves come to the forefront.
Palate: The initial flavors of milk chocolate and raisins are complemented by café au lait and ripe banana. A hint of anise and a touch of tropical fruits, baked demerara sugar, and caramel cream are also present.
Finish: Long, with cinnamon and nutmeg, as well as chili and cocoa.
The foundation of this bottling is the Master Blender's Reserve 2021, which has been maturing in sherry casks since the last Black Tot Day. This blend of Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, and Barbados rums up to 30 years old was married with a small portion of the original British Royal Navy Rum to achieve an enticing result.
