Distillery Information:
Founded in 1817, Bladnoch Distillery is one of Scotland's oldest and southernmost distilleries. Repeatedly closed and brought back to life, it looks back on a long and eventful history. Today, the small traditional Lowland distillery is privately owned and resumed production in 2017 after an 8-year closure. Master Distiller Nick Savage, who previously gained expertise at one of Scotland's most renowned distilleries, is responsible for the new Bladnoch Single Malt and cask management. Bladnoch Distillery produces a heavy Lowland style that, in addition to the grassy notes typical of the region, also has maritime influences. The rich character is evident in the single malt qualities relaunched for the distillery's 200th anniversary, as well as in the house blend PURE SCOT.
