A sign that 2015 would be an excellent year was the remarkable weather. The dazzling hot sunshine was tempered by occasional rain showers and by Bollinger's regulating work in the vineyard. The mild, humid winter gave way to a warm early spring, without much risk of frost. With the highest sunshine duration since 2007, April set the stage for a hot, dry summer. Flowering proceeded smoothly despite the water stress.
At Bollinger, only very high-quality harvests become a vintage: The 2014 vintage produced a wine that is structured, rich and complex, both in terms of its minerality and its exceptional intensity.
Description:
Thanks to great expertise, Bollinger was able to handle the extremes of the year well and sensitively through intensive work in the vineyards. The harvest began on September 4th and was of very high quality. Compact grapes with small berries, some of which reached an average ripeness of 10.5% vol, had a fairly high acidity and were extremely healthy. The exquisite texture, concentration and generosity of this vintage are palpable in every single bottle.

Taste:
A silky opening, leading to a juicy wine. On the palate, stone fruit sets the tone before notes of blood orange unfold on the finish. Fine tannins promote harmony and elegant structure. A subtle rich taste impression remains in the finale.
