A sign that 2015 would be an excellent year was the remarkable weather. The dazzling hot sunshine was tempered by occasional rain showers and Bollinger's regulating work in the vineyard. The mild, humid winter gave way to a warm early spring, without major frost risk. With the highest sunshine duration since 2007, April set the course for a hot, dry summer. Flowering proceeded smoothly despite the water stress.

At Bollinger, only very high-quality harvests become a vintage: The 2014 vintage produced a wine that is simultaneously structured, rich and complex, both in terms of its minerality and its exceptional intensity.

Description:
Thanks to great expertise, Bollinger was able to handle the extremes of the year well and sensitively through intensive work in the vineyards. The harvest began on September 4th and was of very high quality. Compact grapes with small berries, some of which reached an average ripeness of 10.5 % vol, had a fairly high acidity and were extremely healthy. The exquisite texture, concentration and generosity of this vintage are palpable in every single bottle.

Aroma:
Full primary aromas, with a delicious composition of fruit flavors mixing with strawberry juice, tangerine and rhubarb.

Taste:
A silky opening leading to a juicy wine. On the palate, stone fruit sets the tone before notes of blood orange unfold in the finish. Fine tannins promote harmony and elegant structure. A subtle rich taste impression remains in the finish.

Serving suggestion:
Pairs well with dishes with strong flavors such as game, foie gras and red berries. The unique texture is predestined for the most exquisite, festive occasions, the opulent richness is perfectly balanced by an elegant bitterness.
