COLOR:
Brilliant golden yellow.
AROMA:
Wonderfully delicate and complex aromas of brioche, pear, fresh walnuts and spices.
TASTE:
Perfectly balanced flavors of honey malt, bread dough, baked apple and ginger cookies, further enhanced by notes of marzipan and fennel seeds. All of this is underpinned by a lively acidity that integrates wonderfully into the layers of flavor.
DESCRIPTION:
In its commitment to quality, Bollinger's Special Cuvée comes first. Thus, predominantly Premier and Grand Cru wines are blended into the Cuvée. After each harvest, Bollinger selects some of the wines that best characterize the vintage as reserves and stores them for five to fifteen years in reserve magnum bottles under natural cork. To guarantee the quality and freshness of the "vins de réserve" over the years, a slight bottle fermentation is allowed. This method is unique in Champagne. The assemblage of the Special Cuvée contains 5 - 10% "vins de réserve"
