Bunnahabhain 1992 PX Quarter Cask Twin Set

Islay's windswept coast is the origin of a unique twin set of highly limited single cask whiskies. Both single malts of the Bunnahabhain 1992 PX Quarter Cask Twin Set were distilled on February 10, 1992, have matured in comparable casks ever since – and, like human twins, have developed into two bottlings with their own distinct character. The whisky twins initially matured in whisky refill casks, the contents of which were combined in a PX Hogshead in 2004. In October 2018, the whisky was finally transferred to two PX Quarter Casks for its finish.

Exclusively for the German market, the two twin casks were bottled into 65 and 67 high-quality, embossed bottles respectively – after almost 30 years of maturation at an enjoyable cask strength of 42% vol. In natural red-gold, the Twins delight Bunnahabhain lovers with the distillery's characteristic nutty notes and the sweet, syrupy influence of the PX Sherry Casks. Connoisseurs and enthusiasts will also be surprised by the individual aromas of the whisky twins when comparing them, which are bursting with figs and chocolate, roasted walnuts and dark berries, vanilla and woody spice.
