PRODUCT DETAILS:
For this new vintage of La Grande Dame, Veuve Clicquot collaborated with Italian artist Paola Paronetto, known for her creations from paperclay, her keen sense of style, and her deep understanding of colors. The SIX GIFT BOXES in the collection are adorned with nuances from her very own color palette.
This SET OF SIX BOTTLES is a rare opportunity to acquire a unique work of art as well as an excellent vintage that can be aged for another 15 years. Each of the limited edition bottles is packaged in a recyclable gift box that reflects the structural aspects of Paola's work. As a starting point for the color scheme, Paola used Veuve Clicquot's iconic yellow and then expanded the palette with six nature-inspired hues.
ASSEMBLAGE AND ORIGIN:
An exceptional Pinot vintage in an outstanding year. The 2015 season in Champagne was very warm, with low rainfall and plenty of sunshine, resulting in concentrated and structured wines. Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2015 is made from a thoughtful assemblage of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, grown in eight historic Grand Cru sites. The vineyards – Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, Bouzy, Aÿ, Avize, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger – are among the most prestigious in the region.
Taste:
On the palate, more complex aromas emerge: dried apricot, hazelnuts, honey, and candied sugar. Silky textures lend the wine personality, elegance, and character. The depth and power developed through aging.
Color:
A beautiful, golden color with bright pearls.
Aroma:
On the nose, notes of white flowers such as jasmine, honeysuckle, and vine flowers first appear, followed by fruitier nuances of apple, pear, and peach. Some notes of freshly sliced almonds and frangipani cream round out the bouquet.
Serving suggestions:
Serve La Grande Dame 2015 with seasonal, regional, and fresh products, such as a salad with lobster carpaccio, citrus fruits, and garden-fresh pumpkin, to perfectly highlight its elegance and freshness. Or try it with pea gnocchi with chervil sauce and green apple.
