Distinguished by its aromatic intensity and the characteristic structure of Veuve Clicquot, we present the 66th vintage from this pioneering Maison, which created the first known vintage champagne over 200 years ago. Despite challenging weather conditions, exceptional fruit was harvested in 2012. Thus, this vintage – the unique expression of this particular year – was born. Fresh and delicate on the nose, with a lively, balanced taste, it can be enjoyed now or for years to come.

Taste:
Tiny bubbles permeate the luminous, pale yellow Veuve Clicquot Vintage in the glass. Initially fresh, delicate, and salty. Then, juicy candied apricot and toasted notes unfold a complex bouquet of figs, dried fruit, honey truffles, and mocha alongside soft vanilla and nutmeg. This structured vintage develops a lively yet balanced aroma on the palate. Notes of sweet Mirabelle plum cake mingle with candied citrus fruits and roasted pears, followed by a nutty finish. Production:
2012 was a year of extremes. Despite ominous forecasts, good weather conditions eventually brought the grapes to optimal ripeness. Like all Veuve Clicquot vintages, the 2012 vintage consists of Pinot Noir (51%) with Chardonnay (34%) and Meunier (15%). Through the influence of Pinot Noir and further maturation in oak barrels, the 2012 vintage offers the character of a true classic.

Enjoy chilled at 10-12°C. The freshness of this Veuve Clicquot Vintage is excellent as an aperitif, or with seafood such as pan-seared scallops.
