A Bordeaux with real history!

The estate:
Château Bel Air de l'Orme lies in Pellegrue, in the middle of the Entre-Deux-Mers, and is one of the oldest estates in the region – the vineyard's origins go back to 1346. Once over 1,000 hectares, the estate now covers around 30 hectares but has kept its tradition: the wine is bottled at the château itself (mis en bouteille au château).

Colour & tasting:
A deep garnet red in the glass. The nose is complex and fruit-driven, with cherry aromas, hints of plum and fine spice. Supple on the palate, with well-integrated tannins, notes of cassis and blackberry and a spicy finish – round and balanced between fruit, acidity and tannin.

Production:
Classified as Bordeaux Supérieur AOP, made from the classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Drinking window:
The 2019 is already approachable and drinking well, with ageing potential until 2027.

Serving suggestion:
Best served at 16–18 °C; pairs with beef, lamb and strong cheese.
