Nose: Prunes and raisins rise from the glass along with cinnamon and cloves, mingling with blackcurrants and blackberries. Behind this, roasted almonds and black cherries.
Palate: Fruity start with chocolate, cherries and dried plums. Then Italian Cantuccini biscuits and wild honey.
Finish: Long-lasting with sweetened espresso, spicy cinnamon and fine nutty notes.
Exclusively for our customers, the Harz distillers have bottled a Single Malt of the ElsBurn brand for the second time, which matured in an Italian cask combination of First Fill Amarone and Marsala Casks. The heavy, full-bodied red wine from the Valpolicella region in Veneto and the sweet Sicilian dessert wine are responsible not only for the inviting dark colour of the ElsBurn Italian Connection. The Single Malt is bursting with dark fruits such as cherry, blackcurrant, and plum. In addition to intense fruit notes, the whisky pampers the palate with coffee, nutty hints, and a touch of spice.
