The 8-year-old Speysider will permanently join the distillery's Core Range. Matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, as well as a small amount of virgin oak casks and red wine barriques, this whisky offers sherry-matured sophistication. Rich in the classic notes of Speyside heather honey and butterscotch, perfectly balanced with sweet spices and a hint of ginger, the GlenAllachie 8 y.o. represents the character of GlenAllachie.
Nose: Heather honey, butterscotch, and cinnamon, followed by ginger, roasted almonds, and mocha.
Palate: Plenty of treacle, dried sultanas, and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint, and honeycomb.
