Kavalan is the traditional name of the Yilan region and its indigenous people. The KAVALAN distillery is located
about an hour's drive southeast of the capital Taipei in this very region. One of the most important
reasons for choosing this location lies in the excellent water quality. Yilan is well known far beyond
Taiwan's borders for its numerous natural springs, which provide light and
sweet water
Color: classic, dark red like dried grapes
