The Mac-Talla "Terra" ("Earth") perfectly reflects this element with its strong peat smoke. The
millions of years old peat is a characteristic element of Islay's landscape. Matured in
ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at an aromatic 46% vol.
Tasting Notes:
On the nose, lots of peat, freshly burnt campfire, with light citrus notes, the sweetness of quinces and
a little pepper.
On the palate, lots of smoke and peat, then a nice malty sweetness and some fresh oak notes. Alcohol hardly
perceptible.
Finish medium-long, peat, malt candy and oak.
