With the Speymalt from Macallan Distillery 1999/2021, the family business from Elgin releases a proud 22-year-old bottling. Plenty of time for this rare Speysider to coax appetizing aromas of English fruitcake, orange zest, and roasted almonds from the First Fill Sherry Butt, which continue on the palate with soft notes of dried fruit, spice, cocoa powder, and hints of toasted oak. Despite its advanced age, the Speymalt has remained crisp with a cask strength of 58.9% vol.
