In Baden, Roséli has long been more than just a summer drink: by bathing lakes, on terraces and at convivial after-work get-togethers on the Kaiserstuhl, it has become a true cult drink over the years – everyone knows it, everyone likes it, and there's always a bottle chilling.
Taste
On the palate Roséli is lively and juicy: lime fruit is in the foreground, accompanied by a fine sweetness that gives the finish a pleasantly long fade. Deliberately low in alcohol at just 7% vol., so that it stays light even on long summer evenings.
Production
The base is Weingut Peter Briem's own rosé from Wasenweiler/Ihringen on the Kaiserstuhl – refined with lime and fine bubbles into a ready-to-serve mixed drink. Officially, Roséli does not count as a classified wine but as an "aromatised wine-based drink": the base remains wine, but the lime and bubbles give it an independent, uncomplicated character.
Pairs with
Balcony, terrace, lakeside or a spontaneous evening with friends – Roséli isn't a wine for the laid table but for the moment. Also ideal for picnics or on the go.
