Highly limited Starward Single Cask for Germany

Starward lives and makes whisky differently. The distillery is unconventional, casual, and culinary, truly a child of the gourmet metropolis Melbourne. Free from traditions, the distillery looks at whisky through the eyes of brewers and winemakers. It is made exclusively from local ingredients. In addition to barley, it is primarily matured in only lightly charred or steamed red wine barrels from Australian wineries. Starward whisky only needs three to four years in these barrels for its fruity maturity. The reason for this: the Melbourne climate. Constant weather changes with an average of up to 22.5°C allow distillates to mature fundamentally – and create a whisky that is unlike any other.

Following the German release of the first two bottlings, Nova and Two-Fold, in July, a first single cask from the Australians is now available – exclusively for our customers. This New World Whisky, highly limited to only 246 bottles, matured in a First Fill Australian Apera Barrel. Apera is Australian Sherry, which is only called differently because it does not come from the Jerez region. Bottled at cask strength with 55.7% vol., this Australian Whisky unfolds a delightful panorama of fruity-exotic aromas on the nose and palate.
