Nose: We are greeted by mineral notes, rum-soaked raisins and vanilla, followed by tobacco, a hint of old warehouse and sandalwood. Towards the end, spices, candied fruits, rancio and buttery puff pastry reveal themselves.
Palate: Welcome to the Sherry Train: soft, velvety, sweet – with sherry aromas, fig jam, leather, tobacco leaves and Mon Chéri, followed by a colorful array of apricots, coconut macaroons and rum-soaked raisins, rounded off by spices and a hint of furniture polish.
Finish: long and warming, with spices, a delicate nuttiness, dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, slight dryness, and a subtle oak spice at the end.
