The Alrik. The team around Head of Distilling Anna Buchholz produces only 600 to 1,500 bottles annually. 650 of these bottles are now exclusively available.
In the Alrik range, opulent aromas with a lot of wood smoke unfold. The series relies exclusively on "woodsmoked" smoked malt, which is heavily smoked over beech and alder wood. This is also true for our Alrik – First Fill PX Quarter Cask.
The Vintage Malt matured in the finest first-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Quarter Casks. In the smaller European oak casks, the Harz Single Malt matured intensely. In addition to the typical Alrik aromas of wood smoke, BBQ, and a hint of banana, at 55.1% vol., it develops wonderfully diverse notes of orange, raisin, nougat, and dark caramel.
